Five Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph were elected Dec. 30, 2015, to a six-year term as the Ursuline Leadership Council, which they will begin serving on July 17, 2016.

Sister Amelia Stenger will become the congregational leader. She has served in development and directed the retreat center after many years as an educator, both in the classroom and in administration.
The new assistant congregational leader will be Sister Kathleen Condry, who led the Ursulines of Paola, Kansas, from 2002 until that community merged with Mt. St. Joseph in 2008. She has been a teacher and an administrator in schools and for the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas. She is currently serving in parish ministry in Kansas.
Elected councilors are Sisters Pam Mueller, Judith Nell Riney and Pat Lynch. Sister Pam and Sister Pat are currently serving in university campus ministry, and Sister Judith Nell leads a university library.
The new leaders will succeed Sisters Sharon Sullivan, congregational leader; Julia Head, assistant congregational leader; Kathleen Dueber, Rita Scott and Nancy Murphy, councilors.
